__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The plan involved commercial spaces and a bank branch at street level. The upper levels would be dedicated to offices, while the underground level would contain parking. Instead of proposing a conventional commercial one story building with another above, we recommended the creation of an L-shaped interior pedestrian walkway which would connect with the adjacent streets. This solution made the cluster very permeable, integrating it into the network of circulation in the neighborhood. At the same time, it offered greenery and light to its interior. An “L” shaped four story building forms the perimeter with its neighbors and contains the commercial spaces in the lower levels. The bank was located at the base of the eight story building, closing the access to the upper offices. The nucleus of vertical circulation of this eight story building communicates by way of bridges with the upper levels of the body of the “L” shaped building, also consisting of offices. The body of the eight story building is composed if two out-of-phase parallelepiped. One is composed of brick and the other of glass. This produces intermediate spaces with planters that give shelter from the sun coming from the north and west, while the facades of the south and the east are converted into bow windows. The perforations in the brick walls have a double height. The membrane of the glass parallelepiped is made of metal and glass.
